1956 “Abbey Richmond Rental Service” was founded by Steve & Helen Szondy; the inventory began with only tables, chairs and 144 place settings of plates, silverware & glassware.

1976 George Szondy joined the company full-time.

1982 Steve Jr. Szondy joined joined the company full-time.

1986 Tents were added to the inventory & “Abbey Richmond Rental Service” became “Abbey Tent & Party Rentals”.

1990 George & Steve purchased Abbey Tent from their parents.

2016 Third Generation, Matthew Szondy has worked alongside his father, George throughout the years, he continues to take on more leadership roles within Abbey Tent & Party Rentals.

2020 Abbey Acquired County Chair Party Rental.
